Catalytic Effect of Multi-Wall Carbon Nanotubes Supported Nickel on Hydrogen Storage Properties of Mg99Ni Prepared by Hydriding Combustion Synthesis
Abstract:Multi-wall carbon nanotubes supported nickel (Nano-nickel/MWCNT) is added to the hydriding combustion synthesis (HCS) product of Mg 99 Ni by mechanical milling to yield a designed composite for improving the hydrogen storage properties of magnesium. It is revealed that there is a synergistic effect of nano-Mg 2 NiH 4 and MWCNT on the hydrogen storage properties of Mg 99 Ni, which improves the hydrogenation and dehydrogenation performance when compared to adding either nano-Ni or MWCNT alone. The composite requ… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
