Catalytic DNA Nanocranes for Controlled Protein Modification in Cell Lysate

Abstract:This paper describes the development and performance of catalytic crane-like DNA nanostructures for the controlled modification of wild-type proteins. We show that the position of the catalyst offers control over the site of modification, and that reversible interactions between the catalytic structure and thrombin enable trigger-responsive modification in complex mixtures.
