Abstract

A treatise from the discovery, through the progression, to our current understanding of the catalytic antibody field is presented. It encompasses antibody structure and function, techniques used to procure antibody catalysts, catalytic antibodies by reaction class, mechanisms through which antibodies catalyze reactions, selection/screening methods for catalysis, and potential applications of catalytic antibodies.
