“…It is a fact that a major and very crucial constraint is lack of skill in using the internet on the part of library staff (Adeleke and Olorunsola, 2007). “…For the purpose of this paper, no deep literature review was intended. The paper should be seen an extension of the authors' previous work at Redeemer's University (Adeleke and Olorunsola, 2007). “…Clyde's (2004) contribution on this shows that 84 per cent of library related blogs are created in USA, which suggests a high level awareness and use in that part of the world. It is instructive to note that low use or lack of weblogs in most libraries in Nigeria may be attributed to the fact that a large number of librarians are not sufficiently skilled in the use of ICT (Adeleke and Olorunsola, 2007). The response of those who claim to have high knowledge of weblogs is seemingly high, 42 (90 per cent) yet only 15 indicated to have used the facility on daily and weekly basis.…”

“…Based on the aforementioned, libraries are currently implementing ICT for effective service delivery (Agoulu and Agoulu, 2002). ICTs make the processes of information identification, collecting, storage, processing, and distribution to end users easier, according to Adeleke & Olurunsola (2005). Operations and electronic librarianship have been significantly expanded because to information and communication technology (ICTs).…”
