Case Study: Conducting a Risk Assessment for an Electrical Utility

Abstract

Risk management is an important part of effective cybersecurity. This paper presents a hypothetical risk assessment as a case study for one of the largest electricity providers in the southern California region using the approach outlined in the National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800 series on cybersecurity.
