Abstract: Meningitis caused by Acinetobacter species is a rare complication of neurosurgical procedures, although it is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter is particularly difficult to treat, considering the limited selection and tolerability of effective antimicrobials.
