Abstract:Macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) is a life-threatening condition characterized by the excessive stimulation of macrophages and T lymphocytes, provoked by infections, malignancy, and autoimmune or autoinflammatory conditions such as systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA).
