A Retrospective Cohort Study of the Cumulative Survival Rate of Obturator Prostheses for Marsupialization

After insertion, all patients were advised of the importance of wearing the prosthesis continuously and were recalled to the hospital every month for radiological, surgical, and prosthetic review . When bone regeneration occurred, and the cavity reduced in size, the prosthodontist carefully reduced the length of the obturator, but the diameter at the opening was fully maintained .…”

Gauze used to maintain the open cavity is less hygienic and thus requires frequent replacement, which can reduce quality of life for the postoperative patient.…”

A utilização do MTA está indicada na obturação dos dentes com RREA a devido ao pH elevado A detecção precoce das reabsorções radiculares externas, assim como sua prevalência e incidência é importantíssima para conclusão do tratamento reabilitador, quanto maior sua extensão e dependendo da sua localização irão exigir maior número de sessões para tratamento, profissionais de diferentes especialidades e também gerará maior custo.…”
