Abstract:Acute pancreatitis results from any insult that leads to inflammation of the organ. Hypertriglyceridemia is one of the risk factors associated with acute pancreatitis. The typical presentation is abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. We present a unique case in which the patient’s condition was further complicated by diabetic ketoacidosis.
