Abstract:Moyamoya disease (MMD) is a chronic, occlusive cerebrovasculopathy typified by progressive steno-occlusive disease of the intracranial internal carotid arteries (ICAs) and their proximal branches. Moyamoya syndrome (MMS) categorizes patients with characteristic MMD plus associated conditions.
