Abstract: Abstract-In this paper, we propose a simple and standard compliant retransmission mechanism, called Carrier-Sense Automatic Repeat reQuest (CS-ARQ), which aims at improving system performance, both in terms of throughput and energy efficiency, by avoiding useless data packet retransmissions.
