“…The observed phenomena can be attributed to several factors. First, Ce6 photosensitizer produces ROS under 660 nm laser irradiation, which causes damage to cell membrane, mitochondria, and so forth, and cooperates with PTX-induced tumor cell death. ,, Second, Ce6 accelerated the cleavage of the conjugated double bond of the polymer PEG-OE-L, thereby increasing the release of PTX and Ce6 in liposomes. In addition, Dr-lips improved the solubility, cell uptake, and overall drug efficacy of Ce6.…”

“…The liposomal system was 1.63-fold more cytotoxic and had 1.45-fold increased AUC tot relative to free PLB . Moreover, Huang et al developed a dimeric prodrug of the PLB linked with a thioketal bond (reactive oxygen species responsive) and co-loaded with Ce6 for combined chemo-photodynamic therapy of triple-negative breast cancers . Apart from these, tumor hypoxia has displayed a key role in breast cancer therapy.…”

“…27 Moreover, Huang et al developed a dimeric prodrug of the PLB linked with a thioketal bond (reactive oxygen species responsive) and co-loaded with Ce6 for combined chemo-photodynamic therapy of triple-negative breast cancers. 28 Apart from these, tumor hypoxia has displayed a key role in breast cancer therapy. Hypoxic breast tumors are highly aggressive, prone to metastasis, and resistant to anticancer drug treatment.…”
