<p>Since implementing the long term evolution (LTE) technology, the surge in data service traffic has increased, causing an increase in demand spectrum, which has resulted in gaps in capacity requirements. Wireless service providers can respond to LTE technology updates. With LTE advanced pro technology that utilizes unlicensed spectrum technology can provide solutions to increase capacity and throughput. In this study, LTE advanced pro planning by capacity method to find the number of eNodeB and using the discounted cash flow method to analyze the feasibility of the costs to be invested in the implementation of the LTE. The results of the four simulated scenarios concluded that the number of eNodeB from the IV scenario with 20 MHz bandwidth at 1800 MHz frequency and 20 MHz bandwidth at 5 GHz frequency amounted to 23 sites, with a positive NPV value of $ 271,936.96, IRR of 14.91%, and for payback period occurred in the 3rd year. Thus the fourth scenario is feasible to be implemented.</p>

Nowadays, with the advent of smartphones, most of people started to make voice and video conference calls continuously even in a high mobility scenario, the bandwidth requirements have increased considerably, which can cause network congestion phenomena. To avoid network congestion problems and to support high mobility scenario, 3GPP has developed a new cellular standard based packet switching, termed LTE (Long Term Evolution). The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the performance of the new proposed algorithm, named Exponential Modified Largest Weighted Delay First ‘EXP-MLWDF’, for high mobility scenario and with the presence of a large number of active users, in comparison with the well-known algorithms such as a proportional fair algorithm (PF), Exponential Proportional Fairness (EXP/PF), Logarithm Rule (LOG-Rule), Exponential Rule (EXP-Rule) and Modified Largest Weighted Delay First (MLWDF). The performance evaluation is conducted in terms of system throughput, delay and PLR. Finally, it will be concluded that the proposed scheduler satisfies the quality of service (QoS) requirements of the real-time traffic in terms of packet loss ratio (PLR), average throughput and packet delay. Because of the traffic evolution, some key issues related to scheduling strategies that will be considered in the future requirements are discussed in this article.

Carrier Aggregation (CA) technology is one of the enhancements keys which supports high bandwidth up to 100 MHz in Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A) networks. CA technology has been developed by The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) to serve mobile users with high data rate up to 1 Gbps for downlink and 500 Mbps for uplink. However, 3GPP has not defined a firm provision to handle scheduling process so that scheduling becomes an open issue. This paper proposes a novel scheduling algorithm based on Packet Drop Rate (PDR) and cooperative game theory mechanisms. In the first stage, the classes are classified based on the PDR including both Real-Time and Non Real-Time classes. In the second stage, the proposed algorithm forms a coalition between classes, allowing them to share bandwidth. Then, the available resources are distributed as a proportion among classes to guarantee the minimum requirements for high priority applications and give a chance to low priority applications to be served. The proposed scheme is evaluated in terms of throughput, delay, and fairness and compared with Proportional Fairness (PF) and Exponential-rule (EXP-rule) algorithms. The proposed scheme outperforms the other two comparative algorithms in terms of throughput, delay and fairness index.
