Carious Lesions: Nanoparticle‐Based Targeting and Detection of Microcavities (Adv. Healthcare Mater. 1/2017)

Abstract: In article 1600883, Nathan Jones, Brian Clarkson, Joerg Lahann, and co‐workers present a novel diagnostic technique for dental caries that is under development at the University of Michigan. The targeted fluorescent nanoparticle technology is based on edible starch for early detection of active carious lesions using a standard dental curing lamp.
