Cardiac troponin I. A marker with high specificity for cardiac injury.

Abstract: Elevations of cTnI are highly specific for myocardial injury. Use of cTnI should facilitate distinguishing whether elevations of MBCK are due to myocardial or skeletal muscle injury.
