Cardiac Toxicology

Abstract: Cardiovascular disease is still the primary killer in the US, claiming 953 110 lives in 1997. Thus, a major goal in environmental health research is risk assessment of environmental agents having potentially detrimental effects on heart function. This article focuses on the role electrocardiography has played in the assessment of cardiac toxicity.
