Abstract: C hronic activation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system is known to be associated with cardiovascular injury. Primary aldosteronism (PA), either from bilateral adrenal hyperplasia or an aldosterone-secreting tumor, is one of the principal causes of secondary hypertension.
