“…The natural evolution of cardiac hemangiomas is very unpredictable since they can manifest variously over time. There are only 200 cases of hemangiomas reported in the literature according to our review article in 2015; however, this is partly because some were misdiagnosed as thrombi or cardiac myxomas . Similarly, the initial preoperative diagnosis of our case was also challenging, because the existence of the cardiac thrombus surgical history, combined with the new neoplasm revealed by the echocardiogram, led us to believe that it was a myxoma, since this is the most common type of tumor in the heart .…”

“…Epithelioid‐capillary hemangioma of the heart has not been reported so far in children. Hemangioms are the so‐called histopathologically benign and clinically dangerous tumors with various presentation including sudden death, myocardial ischemia, stroke, embolization, syncope, arrhythmia, and ventricular outflow tract obstruction . Diffuse myocardial infiltration is another challenging characteristic of these tumors .…”

“…Diffuse myocardial infiltration is another challenging characteristic of these tumors . The right atrium is the most common location for fetal and neonatal CH, whereas the left ventricle is the most common site for CH in the adulthood . Hemangiomas have been reported in all age groups from 20 weeks of gestation to 86 years of age, with controversial sex predilection and controversial frequency in all four chambers of the heart .…”

“…They can proliferate or even regress. The usual sites are right atrium, LV, right ventricle, left atrium, and pericardium . Surgical excision is the only definitive treatment although a few cases of recurrences have been reported.…”
