Carbon Nanotubes Decorated with Coordination Polymers for Fluorescence Detection of Heavy-Metal Ions and Nitroaromatic Chemicals

Abstract: Herein, [Nd(NO 3 ) 3 (H 2 pzdca)] n (MA-1) was synthesized from a reaction of 2,3-pyrazinedicarboxylic acid [H 2 Pzdca] as an organic linker with salt of Nd(III) under solvothermal conditions. The detailed structural analysis for crystals was performed utilizing single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD). After that, the neodymium-based coordination polymer (MA-1) crystal was directly generated upon the surface of functionalized carbon nanotubes (F-CNTs) through bonds or affinity between F-CNTs and MA-1 via the … Show more

“…In addition, it can be seen from SI Figure S4 that UV‐Vis absorption spectrum of Cd +2 ions solution doesn't overlap conspicuously with the FL excitation and/or emission peak of CD1. Thus, the inner filter effect (IFE) phenomenon is trivial in our experiment as it generally occurs when the absorption peak of the quencher complimentarily overlaps with the excitation and/or emission wavelength of a fluorescent agent [5,49] . Meanwhile, to further probe the specific and selective detection of Cd +2 ions, we have plotted Fig.…”
