Abstract:Semiconducting carbon nanotubes are an emerging material for photonics. We report on the enhancement of semiconducting carbon nanotubes photoluminescence with silicon microring resonators. Polyfluorene extracted semiconducting carbon nanotubes, deposited on such resonators, display sharp emission peaks superposed to nanotube emission, which is attributed to the interaction with the cavity modes of the microring resonators. Ring resonators with radii of 5 and 10 μm were used, to demonstrate the tuning of the sp… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
