Carbon Nanotube-Coated Thread for Wearable Proprioception Sensing

Abstract: This paper focuses on the development of thread-based sensor for proprioceptionsensing in finger and knee. The thread sensor is made by dipping cotton thread into carbonnanotube (CNT) dispersion. The electrical and electromechanical properties of the threadchange depending on the dipping parameters. The resistance of the CNT-Coated threadschanges due to in-plane force, exhibiting a piezoresistive-like mechanism.
