Abstract:Capturing carbon dioxide is vital for mitigating global warming and supporting chemical processes. Ionic liquids (ILs) have emerged as promising solvents for CO2 capture. Using ASPEN simulation software, this study explores three specific ILs: [emim][triflate], [bmim][MeSO3], and [bmim][NTf2]. Their selection is based on exploitable differences in energy.
