Care in selecting, handling, and storing Ascarite is also essential, as some lots of this drying agent were not effective.Time Required for Analysis. Table III gives the average time required for the various operations necessary for this procedure. Six to eight determinations can be made in an 8-hour day. The working time can be lessened somewhat by using weighed absorbers from one determination for a subsequent determination and using a smaller sample [50 to 70 mg. have been suggested by Natelson and co-workers (9, 10)].
