Show more

“…The phases identified in the residue of dolomitic base, are identical to those presented in the characterization study of dolomitic limestone carried out by Souza & Bragança [30], except for the zeolite presence. The authors attributed the peaks located in the region close to 10º 2θ to a mineral clay, considering it as an impurity of the limestone rock.…”

“…The chemical composition of the dolomitic carbonate rock from outcrop is reported in Table 3. Concerning the analysis of chemical elements between fluorine and uranium, higher concentrations of CaO (36.4%), MgO (15.5%), SiO 2 (4.51%) and LOI (41.9%) were observed, which according to Souza and Bragança (2013) and Dolomite Mineral Data (2018) corresponds to a dolomitic carbonate sample. From the base material preparation, five particle size intervals were obtained: 300-600 lm, 150-300 lm, 74-150 lm, 20-74 lm and <20 lm.…”

“…Table 3 presents the chemical composition of the used dolomitic carbonate, obtained by X-ray spectrometry fluorescence in the STD-1 (Standardless) calibration, concerning the analysis of chemical elements between fluorine and uranium. The Loss on Ignition (LOI) was carried out at 1020°C for 2 h. It is emphasized that according to reference [103], the high concentration of the compounds MgO (15.5-17.2%), SiO 2 (4.51-4.06%) and CaO (36.4-33.8%) corresponds to dolomitic calcareous samples. In this way, dolomitic carbonate rock samples were disintegrated and classified using the following steps.…”
