Abstract: RESUMO Introdução: A variabilidade da frequência cardíaca (VFC) tem sido considerada um mecanismo de modulação do sistema nervoso autônomo. A diminuição da VFC pode estar associada à síndrome metabólica (SM). Objetivo: Comparar a VFC e variáveis de saúde em indivíduos com e sem SM.
