Cancer Angiogenesis and Opportunity of Influence on Tumor by Changing Vascularization

Abstract: Based on the study of recent scientific literature devoted to neovascularization and angiogenesis in malignant neoplasms, it was concluded that there are many publications on each of the problems of tumor angiogenesis and vascularization. The formation of blood vessels in a tumor and certain aspects of the prognostic value of the severity of vascularization in almost all forms of cancer are considered. Special attention is paid to the peculiarities of angiogenesis in tumors of the female reproductive system. A… Show more

“…Angiogenesis is a complex process, tightly regulated by certain growth factors, receptors, and humoral factors ( 30 ). Among all the identified angiogenic pathways, the most critical one appears to be VEGFA/VEGFR signaling pathway, which is the main driver of vascular permeability via the activation of VEGFR2 ( 31 ).…”

“…Blood metastasis is also an important pathway that leads to distant metastasis. Tumor cells can directly metastasize to distant organs through the blood without passing through the lymphatic circulation [ 19 , 20 ]. Ueberroth al.…”

“…Microfluidic technologies provide a unique benefit for multicell co-culture by facilitating heterotypic interactions and paracrine signaling that are impossible in traditional environments. [10,41,95,133,134] The co-culture of ECs and mural cells has shown the development of an adult vascular network and active angiogenic sprouting. The factors and parameters significantly improve the precision and reliability of VToC.…”
