Caloric Restriction Can Ameliorate Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction by Upregulating the Expression of Sirt1, MeCP2 and BDNF in the Hippocampal CA1 Region of Aged C57BL/6 Mice

Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the impact of caloric restriction (CR) on cognitive function in aged C57BL/6 mice after surgery, as well as the underlying mechanisms. Forty 14-month-old male C57BL/6 mice were randomly assigned to the ad libitum (AL, n = 20) group and the CR (n = 20) group.
