CALMAR: A New Versatile Code Library for Adjustment from Measurements

Abstract: Abstract. CALMAR, a new library for adjustment has been developed. This code performs simultaneous shape and level adjustment of an initial prior spectrum from measured reactions rates of activation foils. It is written in C++ using the ROOT data analysis framework, with all linear algebra classes. STAYSL code has also been reimplemented in this library. Use of the code is very flexible : stand-alone, inside a C++ code, or driven by scripts. Validation and test cases are under progress. Theses cases will be inc… Show more

“…According to the selected method, one should provide an optional prior spectrum as input. An adjustment library CALMAR has been developed and some aspects of the library has already been exposed [4], this paper focusses on the public release of the library. It describes the ECORCES module for nuclear data preparation and CALMAR module for the adjustment procedure.…”

“…CALMAR was then upgraded and the algorithm of the code was modified to compute simultaneously level and shape adjustments [5]. In comparison with STAYSL, a least square adjustment code included in CALMAR package, the level adjustment adds new correlations between the energy groups, whereas the shape adjustment lowers the correlations.…”
