Calibration of voltage transformer test set using an error simulator

Abstract: A portable error simulator using a simple voltage divider consisting of a resistor and capacitor in series was developed. The error simulator was applied to the calibration of several commercial current-comparator-based voltage transformer test sets and covered the ratio error and phase errors with ranges up to about  ±10% and  ±14 crad, respectively.
