Calculation of the Topographic Characteristics of Rough Surfaces by Virtue of Profile

Abstract

It is shown that the relationship between surface characteristics and profile may be found by modelling the surface with a number of peaks, geometrically perfect and height-distributed, so that the distribution of material in the model of a rough layer corresponds to a real surface.
