Calculation of Symbolic Sensitivities for Large-Scale Circuits in the Sequence of Expressions Form via the Transimpedance Method

Abstract: In this paper we describe a new method for obtaining, in symbolic form, the network functions and their small-and large-change sensitivities. Our method is based on the two-port transimpedance concept and the sequence of expressions approach to calculation of matrix determinant. We show that the network functions as well as their sensitivities can be expressed by appropriate transimpedances. Each transimpedance is given by an algebraic sum of at most four elements of the inverse of the circuit's reduced node a… Show more

“…In case of a larger circuit, this admittance can be described by some sequence of expressions (SoE) (Balik and Rodanski, 2004),x k is the vector of parameters (such as R, C, and L) included in the kth module. The increment (1) can be calculated using the concept of the two-port transimpedance and its multiparameter largechange sensitivities (Balik, 2009;Balik and Rodanski, 2004).…”

“…The increment (1) can be calculated using the concept of the two-port transimpedance and its multiparameter largechange sensitivities (Balik, 2009;Balik and Rodanski, 2004). Two-port transimpedance Z(a, b) expresses the relation between the voltage responses in the port a and the current excitation in the port b.…”

“…The difference is that the analysis is now much faster done by a computer, and does not make many errors [3]. The sensitivity analysis plays an important role in determining the critical design variables in analog circuit synthesis [4], [5].…”
