Abstract: The type III secretion system (T3SS) is a key factor for the symbiosis between rhizobia and legumes. In this study, we investigated the effect of calcium on the expression and secretion of T3SS effectors (T3Es) in Sinorhizobium fredii NGR234, a broad host range rhizobial strain.
