Calcium dynamics in a bergmann glial cell during metabotropic activation: a simulation study

Abstract: A mathematical model of calcium dynamic~ in a Bergmann cell of the cerebellum is proposed. The model adequately describes the experimentally observed behavior of the prototype, Including the shape and time-~le of Ca 2+ responses to single and repetitive metabotropic stimuli and the changes of Ca 2+ transient~ caused by Inhibition of Ca 2+ uptake into the store.
