Calciphylaxis — pathogenesis and clinical picture

Abstract: Calciphylaxis, also known as calcific uremic arteriolopathy (CUA), is a rare vascular disease caused by deposition of calcium salts in vessel walls, accompanied by coagulation disorders, which leads to extensive skin ulceration and soft tissue necrosis.
