Calcareous nannoplankton changes during the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum in West Central Sinai, Egypt

Abstract: The Upper Paleocene-Lower Eocene Hanadi and Dababiya Quarry members in West Central Sinai, Egypt, contain nannofossil taxa assigned to the NP9 and NP10 zones. The Hanadi Member displays lateral variation in thickness and is sharply overlain by a dark gray clay layer that defines the base of the Dababiya Quarry Member. The strata immediately overlying this layer contain nannofossil species assigned to the earliest Eocene. The lateral variation in thickness of the Hanadi Member and the abrupt lithological change… Show more

“…Esh El-Mallaha, a structural block in the southern Gulf of Suez intra-rift system, faulted and grew during the Pliocene to Pleistocene/Holocene [Van Dijk et al, 2019]. Tectonic faults and deep sedimentary sequences generated a halfgraben in the Pre-Cretaceous central lowlands into the present-day Gemsa-El Zeit Bay basin [Faris et al, 2015;Radwan et al, 2021;Youssef et al, 2016].…”

“…Apart from the aforementioned combination therapy, Aliaev et al reported the significant rising of efficacy in treating CBP with the combination of antibacterial and vardenafil (Aliaev et al, 2008). Moreover, the interaction between levofloxacin and diclofenac sodium has been proved by Fayyaz et al (Fayyaz et al, 2015). Studies have shown that selenium decreased bacterial infection significantly, and the therapy administered by both selenium and an antibiotic was more effective than the therapy that used only one of the agents to hinder bacterial infection on prostate tissue .…”
