“…Among patients who had elective cesarean deliveries, physicians did not describe the reasons for contraindicated vaginal delivery. Riehl noted that cesarean was indicated more probably because of bad decision‐making (bias) by the obstetrician and patient than because of the threat of cephalopelvic disproportion caused by pelvic deformations after previous injury . In the present study, in cooperation with an orthopedic specialist, it was decided that a case of impending cephalopelvic disproportion in a deformed pelvic circle caused by an injury and a case of narrowed midpelvis caused by a tumor of the acetabulum remained contraindications for vaginal delivery.…”

“…One question that could be raised is whether the impact of deterioration in reproductive health, which has been demonstrated both in males (19)(20)(21) and females (22)(23)(24) following pelvic ring injuries, has a greater effect on selfreported outcome for the latter. The rate of cesarean sections is increased in females who have suffered pelvic ring injuries, although the reasons for this are largely unknown (25). Hence, obstetric issues might influence reported outcome in younger females who have suffered a pelvic ring injury.…”
