“…15 The bile acid based Cd-precursor has the advantage over other commonly used Cd-precursors (e.g. The reactions were carried out at high pressure (10 MPa) and temperatures (250 1C o T o 310 1C) inside standard stainless-steel capillaries in supercritical hexane, making the system both readily fabricated and scalable.…”

“…The core‐shell CdSe‐CdS QRs (S‐in‐R or R‐in‐R) were synthesized in two steps (Figure a). At first, 3 nm wurtzite spherical CdSe cores or 12 nm long CdSe rods were prepared using the highly thermally stable steroidal precursor cadmium deoxycholate (Cd(DCh) 2 ) instead of the most common CdO or cadmium carboxylate salts . The use of this Cd‐salt of deoxycholic acid as the precursor for the QR synthesis allows to explore a larger temperature range for the synthesis of nanocrystals and is additionally composed of an innocuous chemically inert steroidal component.…”

“…Cadmium deoxycholate (Cd(DCh) 2 ) precursor was prepared at a large scale using a previously reported procedure . Thus, Cd(NO 3 ) 2 , 4H 2 O and sodium deoxycholate were mixed together in methanol at room temperature to obtain a white gelatinous precipitate, which was isolated by filtration and dried subsequently.…”

“…The preparation of BaB 2 O 4 luminescent materials by the wet chemical method is divided into two steps, the first step involves the preparation of the precursors, and the second step is the heat treatment of the precursors. It was reported that the composition and morphology of the precursors have a greater impact on that of the final products; therefore, the study of the precursors is important for us to understand the mechanism of the first and second steps.…”
