Cache-aided mobile edge computing for B5G wireless communication networks

Abstract: This paper investigates a cache-aided mobile edge computing (MEC) network, where the source offloads the computation task to multiple destinations with computation capacity, with the help of a cache-aided relay. For the proposed cache-aided MEC networks, two destination selection criteria have been proposed to maximize the computation capacity of the selected destination, the channel gain of relay link and the channel gain of direct link, respectively. Similarly, three destination selection criteria have been … Show more

“…In this section, we simulate the communication process to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms. The links in the network experience the Rayleigh flat fading [34][35][36][37], and the nodes are equipped with a single antenna. We set the parameter as follows: 2}, ϕ m={0,1,2,3} = {0, 1.8, 2.0, 2.1}, γ = 0.6, P J = 2, P D = 2.1.…”

“…One big progress is the wireless caching technique [23]- [25], where the files can be pre-stored at the near-by nodes during the non-peak traffic. In this area, an important research aspect is to devise which files should be cached at the nodes, since in general the storage at the nodes is limited [26], [27]. The conventional most popular content (MPC) and largest content diversity (LCD) can be applied, which can obtain the largest signal cooperation gain and largest caching gain, respectively [28], [29].…”

“…With the deployment and development of the fifth-generation (5G) wireless communication systems [1]- [3], there is a explosively increasing progress in the data rate for wireless transmission [4]- [6]. To meet this requirement, many new techniques have been proposed to enhance the transmission quality and optimize the system resource management.…”
