C-SAINT: a simulation modeling tool customized for workload and information flow analysis

Abstract

This paper e x p l a i n s how Analysis o f I n t e g r a t e d Networks o f customized t o f a c i l i t a t e workload WORKLOAD AND INFORMATION FLOW ANALYSIS F a i r b o r n , OH SA1 NT (Systems Tasks) has been and i n f o r m a t i o n a n a l y s i s t o o l develo ment f o r t h e C o c k p i t Automation Technology ?CAT) program. T h i s work was performed under s u b c o f t r a c t t o Boeing M i l i t a r y A i r p l a n e Company (BMAC). A general f a m i l i a r i t y w i t h SAINT i s assumed. C-SAINT a l s o i n c l u d e s several m o d i f i c a t i o n s t o SAINT t h a t improve i t s a b i l i t i e s t o represent branching processes and t o dynamically a l l o c a t e resources t o a c t i v i t i e s . Two new o u t p u t f i l e s a r e generated, and m o d i f i c a t i o n s have been made t o the content o f the D e t a i l e d I t e r a t i o n Report. P o t e n t i a l a p p l i c a t i o n s are b r i e f l y described: Analysis o f M o d i f i e d P e t r i Nets and Adaptive Network Analysis.
