The dual-carbon target brings severe challenges to enterprise financing. Low-carbon supply chain financing has become a key measure by which enterprises break through the financing bottleneck. How to accurately evaluate and optimize the financial efficiency of a low-carbon supply chain is of great significance. We developed a financial behavior scale of the low-carbon supply chain for enterprises and constructed the evaluation index system for financing efficiency of enterprises’ low-carbon supply chain. Based on the qualitative and quantitative data of 205 listed companies, we combine the PCA model with the DEA–Malmquist model to conduct static and dynamic analysis of the financing efficiency of enterprises’ low-carbon supply chain. The results show that the financing efficiency of the culture, sports, and entertainment industries needs to be improved. The pure technical efficiency of information transmission, software, and information technology services is low. The total factor productivity index of water conservancy, environment and public facilities management, and the real estate industry fluctuated significantly. In this regard, enterprises must combine the characteristics of the industry and improve the financing efficiency of the supply chain using low-carbon processes of improvement, selection of low-carbon environmental protection materials, and collaborative supply chain emission reduction to break the financing constraints of enterprises and promote the realization of the national dual-carbon target.

ZusammenfassungUm auf den Klimawandel reagieren zu können, werden Klimaschutz und Anpassung an den Klimawandel zunehmend aufeinander bezogen. Die Dringlichkeit des Problems hat Auswirkungen auf die Wissenschaftskommunikation und ebenso auf die Forschung gezeitigt, die sich inzwischen um den Bereich des Klimaservice' erweitert hat. Dieses Kapitel geht der Frage nach: Was wird unter Klimakommunikation und Klimaservice verstanden und was leisten diese im Zusammenhang mit dem Klimawandel? Wissenschaftstheoretische Fragestellungen, die sich daraus ergeben, werden skizziert. Darauf aufbauend lassen sich Voraussetzungen, Chancen und Herausforderungen einer erfolgreichen Umsetzung dieser neuen wissenschaftlichen und kommunikativen Aktivitäten benennen.

To prepare for climate-related risks, a scientifically sound forward-looking integration and disclosure of climate-related data is key. Furthermore, companies also face an increasing demand in non-financial reporting, such as the use of climate change scenarios as part of risk analyses as well as for meeting the Technical Screening Criteria for a substantial contribution or Do No Significant Harm (DNSH) to the environmental goals to show alignment of economic activities with the EU Taxonomy Regulation. Currently, however, companies are still leaving notable gaps in the incorporation of forward-looking climate data and scenarios into reporting and long-term planning strategies. Against this background, the paper describes and discusses the development and concept of an eight-step process model as an innovative way to integrate future climate change into corporate processes. This problem-driven approach is developed in close collaboration and co-creation with companies. It comprises the following phases: i) inventory, ii) prioritization, iii) identification, iv) availability, v) enablement, vi) derivation and implementation of measures, vii) evaluation, and viii) process reinforcement. Also taking into account existing regulations, standards and recommendations for risk assessment and reporting, the process model aims to enable decision makers in companies to identify and assess climate change-related impacts and to take regional climate change information into account. Based on this information – combined with additional local knowledge –, companies can identify suitable adaptation options and develop transformative risk-management solutions. This includes new forms of collaboration, embedded in a framework of a transdisciplinary co-production process. Therefore, a close and trust-based cooperation between internal and external stakeholders right from the outset is a key factor for success.
