This research investigates the role of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin (RMUTR) in promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in its community, exploring community perceptions, educational outcomes related to sustainability initiatives, and challenges and opportunities for Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, which RMUTR faces in its engagement efforts. Through a qualitative methodology involving semi-structured interviews with various community stakeholders including students, faculty, local government officials, business owners, and residents in Nakhon Pathom. This study provides in-depth understanding of the expectations placed on RMUTR and its strategies to align with both global sustainability goals and the needs of the local community. The findings reveal community expectations, highlighting a pragmatic desire for direct, tangible benefits from the university's resources and capabilities, such as facility sharing, expertise in sustainability, and the development of practical skills through educational programs. While local businesses emphasize the need for resource sharing and partnership facilitation for immediate economic benefits, students and residents express a strong preference for practical sustainability support, exemplified by the demand for projects like the installation of solar panels. Challenges identified include a need for more awareness about the SDGs among community members, resource constraints, and the difficulty of aligning university initiatives with immediate local needs. Opportunities for RMUTR lie in leading awareness campaigns, leveraging partnerships to pool resources, and conducting regular needs assessments to ensure the relevance and impact of sustainability initiatives. Moreover, the study underscores the importance of developing clear metrics for measuring the impact of these initiatives and fostering sustained community engagement.

Markets complexity has grown to some extent that modern transport and logistics (T&L) is difficult to understand what to focus on, being impacted by the global economy, compliance with CO2 emissions, competition, reorientation of business models, financial, and technology change, among others. So, it is important to identify what forces are transforming the T&L industry, which can be classified into five major pillars: Digitalization, Shifts in international trade, Enterprise-software-driven process changes, Changes in the market’s domestic commerce, and Machine-driven process changes. These forces are visible and impactful; thus, businesses should be reshaped by anticipating disruptions regarding changes in distribution channels, economic growth outlooks, and the impact of technology changes. These forces will make logistics networks change as much as their environments change due to climate change and CO2 emissions, using co-opetition to increase efficiency and adapt their business by building smarter sustainable systems to meet future challenges. Moreover, through three cases of study, it is seen how these trends are helping businesses not only to improve their operations, increasing performance, efficiency, and effectiveness, as well as to gain competitive advantage, but also to reduce its impact related to the climate change in compliance with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices.

The frozen food industry plays a significant role in the economic relations between Thailand and Japan. This study addresses two research inquiries; (a) what are potential impacts of modern transportation management systems (TMS) on the optimization of frozen food delivery between Thailand and Japan; (b) what are the challenges and benefits associated with the adoption of such technologies within this particular context? This study elucidates the role of advanced TMS in optimizing the distribution process, overcoming challenges, and maximizing benefits for stakeholders. The research used a narrative review approach, whereby data was collected from reputable academic publications, industry reports, and regulatory papers. The selection criteria were established by considering variables such as relevance, timeliness, and trustworthiness. Advanced TMS provides several benefits, such as enhanced route optimization, the ability to monitor operations in real-time, automated documentation procedures, and increased communication with relevant parties involved. These solutions have resulted in financial savings, decreased transportation durations, and enhanced product excellence. Although the implementation of sophisticated TMS offers evident benefits, there are still persistent hurdles related to technology integration, training, and initial investment expenses. Nevertheless, the enduring advantages, such as enhanced financial gains and heightened client contentment, surpass the early obstacles. Advanced TMS has emerged as a catalyst for significant changes in the frozen food distribution industry between Thailand and Japan. These systems provide innovative solutions to long-standing obstacles, therefore facilitating a more streamlined and environmentally conscious trading partnership. The stakeholders, including producers, distributors, and policymakers, have the opportunity to use the findings from this evaluation in order to make well-informed choices pertaining to the implementation and enhancement of TMS within their respective operations.
