“…With regards to information processing theory (IPT), a firm can deal with multiple supply chain risks and enhance supply chain performance by enhancing its capabilities in understanding and processing internal and external risk information (Riley et al ., 2016; Fan and Stevenson, 2017). The current business environment, especially during and after the Covid-19 period, is characterized by dynamic movements, unpredictability and uncertainty; the information related to supply chain risks is more likely to be ambiguous (El Baz and Ruel, 2021; Hoang and Bui, 2023). As a result, to fully understand the risks of the supply chain and its impacts on supply chain performance, it is essential to classify and investigate how these risks mutually affect, impede, promote each other and influence supply chain performance.…”

“…These findings are in alignment with Drucker (2002, p. 96), who suggests that the successful innovations result from “conscious, purposeful searches,” which can only be found in several circumstances, including “process needs” and “changes in perception.” The retail industry in developing countries often faces issues related to transparency, trust, and efficiency. Blockchain technology offers a decentralized and immutable ledger system that can enhance transparency in supply chains, reduce fraud, and improve traceability (Hoang & Bui, 2023). By adopting blockchain applications, retailers in developing countries can build trust among customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, leading to improved business operations and increased customer satisfaction (Boukis, 2019; Peres et al, 2022).…”
