Abstract

Conservative management of perineal and genital burns is recommended.

Clinical outcome analysis of male and female genital burn injuries: A 15‐year experience at a Level‐1 Burn Center

[2][3][4]10 Age, burn size and inhalation injuries have been shown to be important predictors of both mortality and the length of hospital stay after an acute burn injury; 11 however, associated genital burn injuries are not well documented in regard to their contribution to length of hospital stay and increased morbidity or mortality. The current study reports a prolonged length of hospital stay for genital burn patients of >2 weeks with a 20% mortality rate.…”
