Buriti Palm Fiber (<i>Mauritia flexuosa</i> MART.): Characterization and Studies for its Application in Design Products

Abstract: Abstract. Buriti (Mauritia flexuosa Mart.) is the most common and abundant palm tree in the Brazilian territory and it is present throughout South America. It is known as the "Tree of Life", because everything in it can be used and many residents of rural communities have this palm tree as their main source of income.
