“…Bullous pemphigoid arising after surgery is rare but has been described; therefore, clinicians should be aware of bullous pemphigoid as a possible cause of postoperative wound complications involving bullae. [2][3][4][5] Drug-induced bullous pemphigoid is also possible; common medications that can cause bullous pemphigoid include gliptins, diuretics such as furosemide, antibiotics including amoxicillin and ciprofloxacin, and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors such as lisinopril. Clinical presentation consists of tense, polymorphic, fluidcontaining bullae larger than 1 cm in diameter.…”

“…In this case, BP occurred at a closed fracture site, in which the skin surface was intact without damage. A previous report [ 3 ] described a 61-year-old woman with a right femur closed fracture who developed BP after femur fracture surgery. Lesions occurred at the site of the surgical incision, thus BP was thought to be caused by surgical trauma.…”
