The aim to practically use the results from the observations for discovery of distant objects in the visible and the infrared part of the optical specter means to seek a definite answer about a signal presence which would answer the question about the presence in the controlled space of the sought object. On research basis the signal presence probability can be defined which is described by means of a likelihood ratio. The initial value of the likelihood ratio does not contain any unknown values. It is defined on an experimental basis by using devices with concrete tactical and technical characteristics in a concrete environment by considering the fluctuations probability.

Determination of the Angular Coordinates of Astronomical Objects

Among the methods for angular coordinates determination of the astronomical objects, particularly a topic of the present day is the Turner method based on static processing of data information for three and more stars number. With regard to used in astronomical practice optical electronic apparatuses which have high resolution and comparatively closely a field of vision lower than one degree of Celsius, it grows up the actuality of the methods for angular coordinates determination at minimum number of supporting (catalogue) stars. In this conditions it's necessary to be re-examine the respect to orthogonality methods, the accuracy of which can be increase through statistical analyze. Calculation for ideal coordinates and the equatorial coordinates of an astronomical object are shown as well as the possible errors for their determination. A priori it is supposed the orthogonality method is more effective because of the fact that the possibility for appearance in the two stars field of vision is bigger than of the three ones.

Primary Processing of Signals in an Opto-Electronic Devices

The energy efficiency of systems for primary processing of signals in opto-electronic devices is analyzed for the case of identification and study of remote objects against a bright background and under low-contrast conditions. A criterion is determined for evaluating the energy efficiency of the major unit of the system for primary signal processing - the optic system, and some expressions are derived, relating the value of the signal-to-noise ratio at the device's input with these criteria (amplification factor) and other "ideal" or "real" optic systems' parameters. The specific thing here is the operation of the system for primary processing of signals when the value of recorded contrast equals 1 percent or less. As an evaluation criterion for the energy efficiency of this system, the signal-to-noise ratio is used. Comparative evaluation of various systems for primary processing of signals operating under low-contrast conditions and specific values of the signal-to-noise ratio is performed. The operation analysis for the system for primary processing of information (signals) under low-contrast conditions is performed accounting for the impact of the optic system. The evaluation criterion for the energy efficiency of the major unit of the system for primary processing of information (the optic system) is the amplification factor, which determines the limit value for the signal-to-noise ratio at the output of the optic-electronic device. The assumption is made that the flow, which determines the circle's area, is uniformly distributed, which does not cause significant errors in evaluating the energy efficiency of the optic-electronic system.
