Building of a Low-Cost Wireless Battery Analyzer

Abstract: This paper presents the design methodology, implementation and testing of a low cost wireless battery analyzer. The initial goal of this project is to build a battery analyzer to enable the remote monitoring of a 24V backup battery installed in a submarine. The implemented battery analyzer is microcontroller-based, incorporates features to sense and monitor the battery voltage level, discharge current and the surrounding ambient temperature.
