Building Energy Audit and Energy-Saving Analysis for a Five-Star Hotel in Beijing

Abstract: Building energy audit and equipment energy-saving assessment are an important part of the building energy monitoring system in the construction. This paper takes a five-star hotel in Beijing as an example and audits the building energy consumption of the hotel. By testing air conditioning chillers, chilled water pumps, cooling water pumps and other equipments analyses energy-saving potentiality of the conditioning system and lighting equipments. The results would help us put forward some sound energy-saving me… Show more

“…The larger the building shape coefficient is, the greater the heat dissipation area of shared unit building space is, and the more energy consumption is. If the other conditions are same, building energy consumption will be increasing with the increasing of shape coefficient [5]. From the view of energy-saving, building shape coefficient should be reduced as much as possible.…”

“…Few conclusions can be drawn from Fig. 1: building shape A is one type which gains minimum radiant heat gain in winter; building shape D is one type which gains maximum radiant heat in summer; building shape E and D can gain more balanced radiation heat throughout the year; while building shape B with more appropriate length, width and height ratio has more heat gain in winter and less heat gain in summer [5]. Innovation in Civil Engineering, Architecture and Sustainable Infrastructure It is essential to take thermal insulation in winter and heat in summer into account in rural housing in the cold and the hot-summer and cold-winter areas.…”
