Bruselloz tüm dünya genelinde ve özellikle ülkemiz gibi Akdeniz ve Orta Doğu ülkelerinde endemik olarak görülen önemli bir zoonotik bir hastalıktır. İnsanlara bulaş enfekte hayvanların çiğ et, süt, süt ürünleri ve sekresyonlarıyla rastlantısal olarak olmaktadır. Etken mikroorganizma tüm organ ve sistemleri tutabildiğinden klinik tablo çeşitlilik gösterebilir. Brusellozda santral sinir sistemi tutulumu nadirdir. Sıklığı değişik çalışmalarda farklı olmakla birlikte erişkinlerde %4-11 oranındadır (1). Etiyolojide yer alan önemli faktörlerden biri brusellozun vaskülit yapıcı etkisidir. Vaskülite bağlı tutulum deri, ekstremite, aort ve serebral vasküler sistemde görülebilir ÖZ Bruselloz gelişmekte olan ülkelerde sıklıkla rastlanan ve multisistem tutulum ile karakterize olan zoonotik bir hastalıktır. Sinir sistemi tutulumu nadirdir ve insidansı %4-11 arasındadır. Kranial sinir patolojileri, optik staz, menenjit, myelit, radikulopati, periferik nöropati ve vaskülopati en sık görülen nörobruselloz bulgularıdır ve klinik tablo değişik kombinasyonlarda kendini gösterebilmektedir. Bruselloza bağlı serebral vaskülopati çok nadir görülmekte olup literatürde birkaç olgu sunumu ile ifade edilmiştir. Bu yazıda derin serebral penetran damarların vaskülitik tutulumu neticesinde inme gelişen 60 yaşında erkek bir nörobruselloz olgusunun sunulması ve literatür eşliğinde tartışılması amaçlanmıştır.
