Abstract:Brugada syndrome (BrS) is a hereditary channelopathy caused by an autosomal dominant mutation in the cardiac sodium channel gene SCN5A alpha subunit. In individuals without structural heart disease, the risk of sudden cardiac death (SCD) increases in this channelopathy with ST-segment elevation in V1-3 precordials.
